Spine & Sport Physical Therapy - Insurances
We accept most types of insurance. We recommend that you contact your insurance company directly (there should be a toll-free number on the back of your card) to verify your benefits with us. Please be sure to tell the agent you are requesting benefit information for "Facility Physical Therapy". This should ensure accuracy as they often have different benefit levels based on the location and type of practice (e.g. hospital, at home, rehabilitation centre or outpatient facility) the key information you need is:
- Co-pay or co-insurance (This is the amount you have to pay each visit).
- Deductible amount (This is your annual out-of-pocket expense for medical care before the insurance company will pay anything).
- How much of the deductible you've met.
Tip: If you have already met your deductible for the year, then now is the ideal time to take care of any pain and physically limiting problems before a new plan year (and new deductible) start.
A special note about health insurance:
There are two aspects to dealing with insurance companies- firstly, the contract that an individual has with them and secondly, the agreement that a Physical Therapy Provider may have with the insurance company.
Physical Therapy providers are not a party to the agreement between an individual and the insurance company. That is why it is important for you to call your insurance company to see what the benefits are that you pay monthly premiums for. Often people are surprised at how good or poor their benefits are relative to the monthly premium. Having this information will allow you to know prior to coming to Physical Therapy what cost you will have for services received.
Spine & Sport Physical Therapy has entered into agreements with many insurance companies that will provide a discount from our regular fee schedule to you, their members.
