After you and your doctor start to reduce imflammation and pain with your epidural spine injection, coming to Spine and Sport Physical Therapy will help make those results last.
After-Injection Rehab Program
Epidural spinal injections and physical therapy can make a great combination on the road to recovery.
Epidural spinal injections performed by a medical doctor are a common treatment to alleviate pain in the back and neck. The medicine in the injection helps reduce inflammation and pain, often improving quality of life.
Many patients may feel wonderful following their injection. However, the ease in pain does not necessarily mean the muscles supporting your spine are working as they should. To help make those results last, our After-Injection Rehab Program takes advantage of the pain-relieving benefits of your injection and incorporates an educational, hands-on muscle-strengthening program that promotes long-term results for your spine.
Your Spine & Sport physical therapist will work as a team with you and your medical doctor, utilizing the following program structure, yet customizing it to fit your specific needs. Please bring a prescription from your doctor to participate in the After-Injection Rehab Program.
