What conditions do you treat?

We’re known for our expertise in back and neck rehab.  However, our therapists are highly trained to treat other orthopedic conditions as well.  We treat knees, shoulders, ankles, hips, hands, elbows, and more.

Is a physician referral required for physical therapy?

No.  The State of Tennessee allows for “direct access” to physical therapy.

Can I choose my physical therapist?

Absolutely.  Your physician will often help make recommendations.  If you have a specific therapist you would like to request, however, it’s ok to let your physician know.

What should I bring to physical therapy?

Please bring:

  • insurance card(s)
  • photo ID
  • prescription/referral from your doctor (if applicable)

What should I wear?

Please wear clothing that allows for:

• Comfort and unrestricted motion
• Modesty
• Exposing of injured and related areas

Does insurance cover physical therapy?

Most insurance plans cover physical therapy.  The levels of coverage vary, however.  Prior to your first appointment, we will contact your insurance company to verify your plan’s physical therapy benefits.  We will then share the coverage information including any deductible, co-pay, and co-insurance with you before your appointment.

What is the difference between a deductible, co-payment, and co-insurance?

Your copayment is a flat fee that you pay each time you have a health-related service.

Your coinsurance is a percentage of the cost of covered health-related services after you have met your deductible. Typically, coinsurance is 20% to 30% of what your health plan approves. Your health plan will pay the remaining 70% to 80%.

Your deductible is the amount you must pay each year for health-related expenses before your health plan begins paying.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurance plans.  For more specifics, please speak with one of our associates at (423) 894-9893.

How long is each appointment?

Your first appointment may take 1 to 1.5 hours.  Most appointments following your initial visit typically take 45 to 60 minutes.
